Hairline Crack in Basement Wall

The best way to fix a hairline crack in your basement wall is with a high pressure, polyurethane-based crack repair kit. While caulking and low pressure injection methods are a big less “simple,” they are quick fixes and 1-5 years down the road you will find yourself repairing the crack again. Here is why high pressure kits, like the Foundation Armor concrete repair kit, are more effective:

  1. The Foundation Armor concrete repair kit uses aluminum ports that are injected into he wall and intercept the crack.
  2. The 5,000+ PSI injection gun moves the polyurethane through the injection ports to the back of the crack.
  3. The polyurethane reacts with water (either present or added) and expands 30-40X its volume to fill the crack from the back to the front.
  4. Once dry, the bond between the polyurethane and concrete is permanent and will always remain repaired.
